I feel the need to clarify that the term “Black Magic” is not referring to Magic that is inherently evil or necessarily bad by any means. When we speak of Black and White, dark and light, we are really speaking of Destruction and Creation. As with any source of destruction, be it a simple flame or a shotgun, it is indeed dangerous but it is no less natural or useful for it.
To really understand what is Black Magic and the nature of it we need to take a more detailed look at the nature of destruction and the purpose it serves in the universe. When we speak of destruction what do you think of? Is Mount St. Helen going off? Pompeii? Hiroshima? Albeit, all of these apply, however, when we look at incidents of destruction on this scale we start to miss the forest through the trees a bit.
In magic, we work with and deal directly with energy in exchanges. The smallest scale or frame of existence we currently understand there to be and are beginning to scientifically observe. So when we think of Black Magic we need to look at it in the smallest frame. What is its purpose? How does it fulfill it? How can this be used?
Understanding the Forces of Destruction and Creation
Destruction is one of the driving forces of the life, death, and rebirth cycle. As with its counterbalancing force of Creation, it results in transformation. Destruction takes something whole and stable in its wholeness and takes it into its many pieces. Creation takes the many pieces and makes something whole and stable of them. Nothing can die that cannot decay, and nothing can decay without the force of destruction in the universe.
Now obviously then when we are talking about Black Magic we are speaking of spell work with the capacity to take everything being of the target apart. Currently, and sadly, the most prominently known use in the magical community of Black Magic is against other people. Hexes, Curses, summoning entities to be general douchebags…you’ve probably heard of all of it and more, and I’m saddened to say I am hard-pressed to call anything you’ve heard an exaggeration of what can or has been done.
What people don’t however tend to realize is there are many positive uses for the force of destruction as well. If I take a tree, cut it into logs and turn those logs into beautiful works of art… I have still destroyed that tree…and subsequently the individual logs I transformed it into. For instance, numerous types of banishing work use destruction quite effectively without being of harm to anyone or anything.
“Cleansing” the energy of any object is literally just destroying the informational state of the energy and returning it all to base (information-less energy waiting to be tuned and programmed… any material object is literally condensed energy and therefore the idea that cleansing an object is “removing all the energy” is a fool’s errand…you can’t, it literally is made of innumerable energy particles compressed together in a multi-dimensional lattice).
Purification spells and rituals; spells to undo hexes and curses; spells to remove negative forces from your life all have some element of destruction in them. It is in how we use Black Magic, not just the intent of it but the method as well due to the force being used (great intentions can still end in disaster if not well planned and executed when destructive forces are at work), that determines whether it falls under the moral and ethical constructs of “Evil”.
The idea that all things Black Magic are evil began originally as a religious bias that has slowly but soundly become a societally ingrained belief that has little to do with reality. It’s like saying the butcher knife a serial killer used is evil…No people! The damned serial killer is…the knife was just a tool. Magic is energy, and energy is just a tool. We use energy every day, we power our homes, we make vehicles move, we fly planes in the sky, and we create lightning daily through technological means….Magic is just a neutral tool.

Scientists and archaeologists have recently made a revolutionary discovery of Mayan culture, uncovering nearly 60,000 new structures in a massive archaeological find in the Mayan ruins of Guatemala, BBC.com reports.
Using LiDAR technology, which is short for “light detection and ranging,” scientists and archaeologists were able to discern just how massive the Mayan ruins in Northern Peten were from under a dense canopy of leaves and rainforest foliage.
As detailed by BBC.com, with LiDAR, millions of laser pulses are emitted from a plane or helicopter every four seconds to bounce off the terrain, working almost like echolocation. The wavelengths are then measured, giving quite accurate information about a location’s topography.
The data received from this method drew a very different picture from what scientists and archaeologists assumed the ruins looked like. What was thought to be a scattering of Mayan ruins across the Guatemalan landscape ended up being a large, metropolis, potentially housing upwards of 20 million people. Researchers had previously speculated that the area was home to at most two million people.
“Everything is turned on its head,” Thomas Garrison, an archaeologist from Ithaca college told the BBC. Garrison believes the size of the population could be “three or four times greater than previously thought.”
The Mayan architecture uncovered dispelled assumptions researchers had about the area, believing that the Mayan cities were widely dispersed. There is evidence of infrastructures like elevated causeways and complex irrigation systems, suggesting that the infrastructure supported a robust population, artnews.com reports.
Also astonishing to researchers is just how much infrastructure was devoted to military defense. As artnews.com reports, the Mayan cities had defensive structures such as ramparts and fortresses.
According to Garrison, “Warfare wasn’t only happening toward the end of the civilization, it was large scale and systematic, and it endured over many years.”
Mayan Discoveries and Inventions
In Mexico, there is a pyramid built by the Maya called Chichén Itzá that is built to align with the Sun in such a way that it casts a shadow on itself during the Fall and Spring Equinox. This shadow lines up with the head of a statue of a serpent god. As the sun sets, this shadow play makes it appear as if the serpent is slithering its way into the Earth.
This is just one of the examples of how advanced, creative and innovative the Maya were. When it comes to their calendar system, the Mayans had two: The Calendar Round, a cyclical calendar that reset every 52 years, and the Long Count Calendar, which counted forward from a fixed date in the past, making it more linear. Both calendars are just as accurate as the one we used today.
The Mayans used astrological timing in their agriculture, and could even predict solar eclipses. They were producing rubber thousands of years before Charles Goodyear patented it. They are also part of the reason we have and are able to enjoy the pleasure of chocolate.
What Caused the End of the Mayan Civilization?
One of the biggest mysteries of history is what caused the collapse of the Mayan civilization. The empire lasted for over 2,000 years, enjoying its peak from 300 A.D. to 900 A.D., but in a span of a century, 800 A.D. to 900 A.D. the Mayan collapse came suddenly and quickly.
There are many well-thought-out theories as to why the Mayan civilization could have experienced such a dramatic decline. Was it a widespread disease? Did warfare and political strife cause too much upheaval? Did drought cause the abrupt end of the Mayan civilization?
The idea that it was a drought that brought the fall of the Mayan empire is quickly picking up steam, especially now that the true scope and size of the Mayan ruins in Guatemala are becoming apparent. For a civilization as complex and intricate as the Mayan empire was (some researchers are comparing the ruins as on par with Ancient Greece and China) to experience total collapse, most likely it was due to some ecological circumstance.
The Mayan empire wouldn’t be the first civilization to fall at the hands of drought. Drought could in fact be the root of the reason the Mayans were experiencing other turmoil like wars and decreased trade before their collapse. A decline in resources can cause conflict as cities and empires fight for what is left.
The Mayans relied heavily on rainwater for agriculture, and if the climate experienced some sort of change, which there is also evidence of, this may have had a drastic effect on the food supply.
Some schools of thought believe that the constant warfare, revolution, and political turmoil caused enough destruction to collapse the Mayan empire. However, the counter to this theory is that no civilization in recorded history has suffered a complete collapse as a result of political upheavals and heavy warfare.

This topic seems to have so many answers out there, yet so little detail. There is a simple answer to the question, which is that the Aura as it is commonly called is a field of energy emitted by the body that encompasses a broad scale of energies in its range. But the simple answer falls terribly short of the full truth. So I ask that you take a moment and look deeper into the reality of the aura for a moment with me.
To start broaching the detail of the subject, let’s first approach the topic of energy for a brief moment, as this knowledge will play heavily into understanding what follows. We are, for lack of a better expression, a stack of pancakes (planes of energy), curved into a multi-dimensional shape (3d, 4d, whatever number you care to currently ascribe to the dimensions of our existence).
There is a single point of energy… that expands through all of the planes in the center of it. That, in the shaping of us from flat waves of energy (think layers of color in a tequila sunrise drink), is reflected through separate points in space through our body.
So, these centers are referred to in Eastern Philosophies as Chakra, in terms of science would be an electromagnetic center, for Reiki and Energy workers are often referred to as Energy Centers. All the names are right in the end of the day. And we aren’t here to argue that point.
The whole of being however does not encompass all planes, there are planes of energy both above and below those we encompass. Time for instance….if we encompassed time, we would generate it naturally within our field. If we generated time…we would be immune to the impact of it on our telomeres, or probably even not have telomeres. We wouldn’t age.
Time however is only just beyond us, and there are states of being when one understands the nature of their whole being, that can lessen the impact, or altogether avoid it for spaces or periods. Yogi for instance, in deep transcendental meditation.
Seeing Auras
So now to the topic of the aura’s makeup. After all this, you’re probably itching to know what it looks like….that’s why you read this far, isn’t it? I’m not going to lie, it can be both underwhelming and overwhelming to know.
From the top of the head, about an inch forward from a vertical line upwards at the meeting of spine and skull there is a small circular formation that is often referred to as one’s Crown, or Halo (we’ll go more in-depth on these things in another article. I promise).
From this ring formation (which commonly appears a shade of white that has about three or four hundred colors, and is sometimes so many colors it looks clear) are arcing bands of energy arcing up and forward between 3-7in that range in length and color, arcing down away from the body at varying distances, and return to the body at the adjunct of the legs and pelvis. The rotation of these seven bands forms a tight-centered doughnut that expands above our heads and into the ground beneath us.
Exactly how close to or far from the body each line spans, is directly relative to the dark and brightness of the color and also manipulated by body positions (meaning certain positions can bring these lines closer or push them further). Our limbs are outside of the central zone this field creates, and within the field…and so the field moves and shapes reactively to their positions.
These bands typically rotate far too fast to try and track every iteration, and so one learns over time to watch them much like looking for the blades of a fan in motion, changing the speed that their eyes determine position to track the oscillation by using a slower, repetitive measure that allows for larger, more visible observation on a greater scale. Each rotation carries the reaction, absorption, and exchange of internal and external energies, emotions, and thoughts in a single instant.
The first, or I should say the closest to the body, would be a varying scale of deep, dark blood red to a vibrantly surreal silvery pink.
This energy is commonly referred to as the root chakra. This and the final band of energy are a bit different as they reflect the state of balance for each half of your being.
Issues in this band will take effect on physical health the most immediately and with the greatest impact. Stress, anxiety, internal health, and organ health issues. This band will Also SHOW physical health issues in it. Maintaining this band requires maintaining both physical health and at least a base semblance of energetic health.
The next is a varying band of deep, burnt brown to a golden pearlescent orange.
This moves in synchronous with the first, and can come close enough to merge or arc against the one before it, or the next. The space between it and the first holds much the same color as the band that it coincides with, varying only in reaction to external impacts to the energy or distortion from other bands (distortion doesn’t necessarily mean bad, just means change by interaction).
Beyond that is a band of energy that varies from a deep, dark metallic gold with a contrasting sheen of dark that has no visual comparison to a brilliantly blinding yellow opalescence.
The fourth is a band of energy that varies from deep shades of swamp algae at night green to vibrant electric spring green.
The fifth is a band of energy that varies from such dark blue as to be near lightless and colorless, to a blinding lightning-like metallic blue shimmer.
The sixth is a band of energy that varies from a dark, near lightless burnt royal purple all the way to a vibrant, flashing contrast of vibrant electric purple and these deep indescribable bright purple that is more heard than seen.
The final band is a bit different than the rest. Firstly, the arc of energy can vary from a state of light absorption to a white that has too many colors to see and becomes clear/light refractive.
The space of the band, where its coinciding energies reside…works entirely different than the rest, however. This is the skin of your whole energy and being. There is a surface tension to this layer that is distinct and can be felt.
In an averagely healthy being, who maintains a general sense of energetic health in balance with physical health, this layer will generally be a clear fluid-like layer that appears slow-moving with colorful nebulous flows of energy swirling in a stable, healthy manner up until this healthy individual cleans it all out and starts fresh for the next grouping of activities and energies they intend to create a balance of in their life.
This is not the normal state of people today, however. We are not a society aware of our energy or energetic nature as a whole. And so now I need to explain how an abnormal and unhealthy state of energy appears.
When a person is not aware of their energy on a basic level, or even suppresses their awareness within themselves through dismissal, disbelief, self-fear, or lack of confidence/trust in self, their energy behaves in reaction purely to emotions, thoughts, and physical health on a basic reactive level. This means when a band reaches a deeper color and tightens closer to the body, or closer to the band before it…it begins to arc directly across the field/s and create an intermingling of energies through fields that leave distortions.
The same is true in the opposite direction. This reaction also travels along the length of the bands in either direction and is emitted into the atmosphere at the root and crown. Some of this batters against the outermost field of our being, and without awareness of this field, it has little tangible surface tension. As such, a significant amount of this emittance is reabsorbed into the outermost field. The rest escapes our field into the environment and can be absorbed accidentally or intentionally by others in varying ways.
Keep in mind, that this is the field that collects and maintains an ecosystem of the energies and activities we intend to create and maintain a balance of in our life. Absorbing erratic emissions from the unintended reactions of our energies and other peoples’ in this field is counterproductive to maintaining a balance in energies we intend to create in our lives.
With a lack of tension and coalescence of the personal energies of this field and a tangible outer tension, the fluid-like nature of this field can become quickly and chaotically filled and muddied with a myriad of energies and take on a darkened, rapid, erratic quality to its visage. The tangible energetic presence of these external and erratic energies often begins to influence the six internal bands’ size, coherence, and consistency, as well as the color, which then in turn can cause bands to arc, and the cycle of imbalance propagates.
With frequent cleansing of this field as a whole, this can be counterbalanced…but one can be prone to indecisiveness and lack of long-term aim. With detailed management of the removal, it can also be counterbalanced, but this is time-consuming and takes much concentration. It is difficult to extract all the chaos from the things one intended to create in their life, whilst leaving them entirely untouched and maintaining awareness of the whole being plus daily life at the same time to prevent further incoming interference.
Once one has awareness of their whole energy, and the difference between what is still them, and what is emittance they can begin to actively control this process as a whole. This lessens the amount of erratic emittance in themselves, and the impact of that received from those around them. The bands of one’s energies start to become more stable and more easily and fluidly controlled. And the whole process becomes less of a strain as a general rule.
So, in summary. The Aura has 7 fields, 6 internal, and 1 exo-structural. It is bi-polar. It creates a doughnut-shaped field. The aura rotates. The surface layer of the aura is how and where one maintains the energies and energetic interactions of activities and goals. Half of what we can do with knowledge of the aura is considered psychic, and the other half often falls under what is considered magic. And finally, everyone has one and there are differences in the aura of some people that will be left for other articles.

I’m sure by now, everyone in America is fully aware of the term “Psychic Reading”, whether in regard to the art of tarot divination or just auric readings. If you haven’t, take two minutes and google the Long Island Medium. I won’t say real or not real, but the concept is pretty clear.
So, that being said….why is the concept still so mystical and confusing? This is where the key detail in question really starts to come into play. The Aura. Mostly it’s thought of, referred to, and viewed to be just some energy radiation we give off. Think heat from a lightbulb. We too give off heat, and this is one band of energy, one frequency on the radio…of the encompassing whole of stations we can pick up or broadcast along.
The aura is the encompassing field of all the frequencies, and stations for this example, we can perceive along. It has a bubble-like quality to its structure, but the shape is fluid and in flux, and with awareness can even be actively shaped. This knowledge is where the concept of “Psychic shielding” comes from. The term is a bit of a misnomer but that is a talk for another time.
Now, knowing that each sentient energy on this rock we all call home gives off energy along some band of frequency and receives along certain bands as well is where we begin broaching the understanding of how a psychic reads the aura of a person.
If you’ve ever played a video game or even observed one being played you’ll find in the experience of it that, there comes a level of awareness and change of perception to certain noises, sounds, colors, and appearances within the environment of the game that allows the player the ability to…fluidly and dynamically understand what is happening around the character they are controlling. Our brains do that for any new type of incoming information. They find a way to interpret it in a new manner, yet still relate it to perceivable things in our reality.
How this manifests person to person is a bit different, for many reasons really but for now, we’ll only worry about a heavily factored one we see commonly in everyday life being deviated and diverged. Perception, and the senses one perceives the most subtle thresholds along, weigh heavily in how the brain decides to interpret the information perceived into an understandable chunk of information.
For some like myself who are visual synesthetes (people who perceive a non-visual sense, interpreted into visual light and color patterns) it is a blatantly clear and uncontrollable spattering of color across our visual field, and for a very long time throughout the previous century was often confused to be visual hallucinations from some semblance of a mental break in the common public eye.
Research, however, starting in 1812 by Sachs in a thesis on “color hearing”, has found over 80 types, and many more possibilities that are just covered currently under the general understanding of how nerves work. There is an estimated 4.4% of the population affected by it, which equals out to about 1 in every 23 and many famous artists are on the list of those who’ve had it.
Yes, people born with synesthesia have been labeled insane for a long time in public because of their “oddity”…and so even the words to express a clear understanding of the experience have not had much space of time to form in yet. It happens across all the senses across an array of people. Some people even experience it, and refuse to approach the topic for understanding because they don’t want to “sound crazy”. My opinion? Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, and Homer….all sounded crazy to their peers, as did Newton, Einstein, and Tesla. Be brave and explore understanding.
Okay, so now we know that at some base level there is a form or manner of the synesthetic process allowing a person to gain awareness of this aura, and their experience and understanding have given them insight into what they are experiencing means…let’s turn to the topic of, how exactly does this work? I mean, we all hear of people doing it over the phone, over the internet, on skype. That can’t be possible….right?
Funny, yet true fact….it not only can be possible, but it is also entirely true and the very same scientific field that proves it has led to the MRI, fMRI, silicon processors, Cellphone signal technology, and much more of your daily life. Alright so, omg trigger-warning…Science! Right? But in truth, the exact specifics aren’t as important as the understanding of the interaction and concept being presented.
Firstly, let me say plainly that the names of the concepts are Quantum entanglement and Quantum tunneling, and if you search online please use a time-span filter because there is a very large amount of antiquated theory and early confusion in the field. And if it’s not directly a research journal PDF, or research organization site, approach with healthy skepticism.
So, that being said the concepts are actually pretty easy to understand and how they actually make sense of this whole interaction will be pretty clear. Picture two balls in your mind for a moment, make one dark blue, and the other bright yellow. For the moment, let us say the blue ball is the Psychic doing the reading, and the yellow ball is the person being read.
Now, when the two balls “touch” or become entangled, they start to share properties and colors. Now, for a moment, both balls are yellow and blue. For a moment, the psychic shares energy and information with the person being read.
So, then how does work across distances though? Or through electronics even? Well, let’s add detail to the two balls. Each is actually a fluidly rotating collection of tiny balls of the same color. And, now we take each ball and we put it at either end of a ball pit (for now, this will be our universe, a ball pit). And as we know from the large-scale understanding, each ball that touches shares properties with the ball it touches against.
Here’s where quantum tunneling comes in. This is also pretty simple to understand and based on one of the five principle forces currently understood in science, Electro-magnetism. So, I’m sure most of us at some point or another in school took a magnet to a line of paper clips or staples. The magnetic metals aren’t actually magnetized. The magnetic field connects and expands along all materials involved.
Quantum Physics and Psychic Abilities
Well, some really genius scientists sat down one day with these examples of understanding and said “If everything is made of these tiny balls called quanta, and they entangle, does the field stretch along all quanta involved, and if so, can we take one colored ball, and spit it out on the entirely opposite end?”.
So…they took colored Photons, or light particles….and did exactly that experiment. They entangled two across space, a red and a white one, saw the two sharing color, then added a third colored photon that was green, and entangled it to the red one. What they found when they color tested the position that was supposed to be a white photon, was the green photon. The entangled particles could freely transfer information and even entire particles back and forth.
Even across a space, any information on either side can spit out on the other end when energies become entangled. This happens faster than even light travels, quite literally, and only a lack of awareness of information within the exchange limits how much or how fluidly a psychic reads another being.
As well, only awareness of personal energies and actively ordering them can truly give a person the control of permission, as we often pay no mind to the energy we emit by a simple thought, emotion, and action.

A mystic is a person who seeks spiritual experience to raise and expand their awareness of self, the universe, reality, and the laws that govern all three. This still sounds pretty vague though, right? I mean, what is the spiritual experience then? How do they know their awareness has raised and expanded? What does that even mean? And many more questions sure to be asked by someone, somewhere.
This is where the real answer begins. With questions, of all places. Have you ever sat and wondered, and devoted even a solid half of an hour to only wondering….what each body part is for? Why? And what we were doing as a species for it to adapt the way it has? On some level…a Mystic has.
If you knew exactly how far your eyes could see, and the difference in distance between the categories of detail your eyes could see… with time and practice you could become anything from an expert marksman to an expert bird watcher. You would learn to change the focal point of your visual field to change the distances you see different details at. You could eventually raise your ability in the field of vision to a point that science would fall short of explaining.
This is still all physical though… and to be honest the physical as we all know is not the curiosity and interest in mysticism from the observer. The spiritual is. The “mystical” experience is a joining of both experiences, and so to begin to understand it we must really begin to be aware of the spiritual experience.
We must understand the spiritual nature that mystics gradually learn and apply their awareness to. This begins with two core understandings. Our body emits a field of energy, and nothing we have to our being is without purpose. And so, to understand the spiritual experience, we must understand experiencing the energy we give off.
One of the first things one comes to know with this experience is that consciousness is just a face or facet of awareness. That our mind, our intellect…is just a small part of us, floating around us in this energy. This space is where the energy of thought begins before it is ever expressed outwardly in any manner. You also learn there is a direction, in physical reference to your body that this energy begins its process of formation into expression. We come to find that our emotional energy begins formation in an area of this field as well…as does in turn…the life energy of your being.
So where are these areas then, in relation to the body? And, why does any of this matter? And what does knowing this even let us do?
Well, firstly let’s point out that…this field is in constant motion, but the area of relation stays affixed. To your forward left is your thoughts, and forward right is emotions. And behind your back is your life energy and the space of awareness you reside in when you step back from your consciousness and intellect to simply…be.
This field rotates clockwise for many of us, most out of those whom I’ve met, to be entirely clear. And so, a thought begins on your left, and carries into the energy of your emotions, and takes up the emotions of that frequency, and continues carrying along into life energy, and then takes root in the body and from there expressed into reality. It was real before ever being expressed…and this is a fundamental understanding of Thought we have mostly lost. For those whose field is naturally counter…their thoughts start to the right, and carry into emotions on the left.
Another of the things first learned, is the basic understanding that any wave of energy is perceptible to this field of energy, as any other energy is capable of creating a reaction in this field. Meaning that as you test up and down the scale of sound and light and on down the list of wave/form energy….you will find there is at least some inkling of a sense trying to happen when these things affect your field, and that there is actually also something going on, on a physical level, trying to assist you in interpreting that inkling.

Is ESP Real? To put it simply, Yes. ESP not only is real, but it is quite simple, inherent in all animate things, and a part of everyone’s daily lives whether aware of it or not.
Firstly, let’s address the contemporary notion of ESP that seems to be popularly accepted. ESP, Extra Sensory Perception, is ONE THING. It is only one thing, though it has many facets just as any other sense. It is the ability to perceive things that the “five senses” we are taught about having are incapable of perceiving.

So, if there is no singular physical structure in the body that receives the incoming information then how do we “gather” this information?
Well, to answer that let’s first ask another very important question. What is the outer-most layer of the body? You can say that the skin is the answer, and if you are thinking in terms of the outer-most organ you would be correct.
And as the largest, most encompassing organ, with the most nerves and ways to gather incoming information the skin is one of the most noticed and perceived sets of information you pay attention to day to day. If your skin gets cut or pierced or harassed from either side, external or internal…you will notice.
But the skin is not the outermost layer of your body, in reality, only the outer-most organ. As you walk around day to day, you carry around a bubble of energy with you. Most of us cannot see this bubble, and some of us do not feel this bubble often…but it is there.
Everything in this universe, a human included, is made of, powered by, and emits energy. We walk around in the world with a field of energy we often call an aura surrounding us that is detectable and observable through scientific instrumentation quite easily, yet very few of us know to or think to pay attention to it.
So, why is this important…right? This energy field is constantly in motion, centered within us, and like any other magnetic field is sensitive to incoming energy waves on a broad scale of frequencies.
All energy in the universe contains information, whether this is realized or not. When any incoming energy impacts, deflects, reflects, pierces, or is absorbed into this field of energy, information is taken in as well, the greater magnitude of energy passing through this surface tension of our personal bio-electromagnetic fields and being deposited, the more information taken in as well.
If you’ve ever been walking down a street and felt pressure or tingling on the back of your neck, or even the hairs on your neck starting to stand up…and upon looking back you find someone staring at you, you’ve used ESP. The very energy of their observation has impacted your energy field and you became aware of this.
The longer a person stares, the more you will feel it, and the easier it will be to notice, even for the most oblivious. This is a scientifically researched and known phenomenon that you can perceive being observed.
It was an anecdotally understood fact in the security, military, and surveillance fields for decades, so much so that when being trained to watch surveillance cameras, officers/guards are often taught “if you see someone being suspicious, just stare at them on the screen for a few moments and they’ll go away”. Even through a CCTV setup, with no physical person present…you can still feel and perceive being observed. This is the easiest and simplest example to help explain ESP.
This phenomenon in animals and insects is often observed to be a predatory/prey danger instinct. In human beings, however, up until recently it hasn’t even really been thought of much. It perhaps did start as, and once was simply a danger instinct.
Throughout the growth and evolution of the human species, however, it has expanded to become a full awareness of its own right. A sense all of its own. The ability to perceive incoming energy, decipher and interpret the information incoming, and make sense of it as we do with any of our other five senses.
For example, if you’ve ever run your fingers over the bark of a tree…you can remember that information. If I were to blindfold you and place your hand on a slab of bark, you would begin to picture the visual image of bark in your mind as you work out with touch the texture and form with your hand.
With practice, you could even start to tell the difference in types of bark, from what tree…even if the color has changed in the bark (as the chemical reactions change the texture and hardness).
All this information can be learned and recalled through touch. It becomes an entire awareness of its own when all other things are stripped away. With no other sense but touch, you could build a visual landscape in the mind of your surroundings, of people, plants, and animals. You would start to detect movement in your environment through air currents, and sound through pressure waves, and vibrations. With time, practice, and experience (and some luck if limited to just one sense) you would begin to know an entire universe through simply your skin.
Some of this awareness we would still consider being the original sense of touch of course, but…knowing something is moving in the room with you by feeling the air move….can we truly call this a sense of touch anymore? Or must we recognize this as an extension beyond, derived in touch? Such an instinct in a person with the use of all five senses is often viewed and described as preternatural (and there are people who can).
Extra Sensory Perception Symptoms
With this understanding in mind, let’s return to speaking on ESP. As a sense on its own, not speaking on the extensions of ability possible, Extra Sensory Perception in its base is the capability of perceiving energy waves and energy fields that interact with our own personal energy field. As stated before this energy holds information, as does our aura, and through learning to interpret and understand this information one develops any or many of the abilities currently rolled into being called or titled ESP.
Before information, however, as with our other senses, there are certain basic instincts and responses that occur through ESP. Like the inherent instinct to blink when something approaches your eyes rapidly, often-times accompanied by moving…when waves of energy approach direct impact with your aura an instinctual urge to relocate or a sense of dread or fear will occur.
Oftentimes people who experience this recount having avoided imminent danger by mere seconds or feet, but not always. In some cases, there are other things at play, and though life-threatening events may not be moments away, there is still a distinct and present energy approaching.

Do love spells work? This is a complicated question with many facets so let us start by saying in most instances, by most understandings, No they do not work. Love is a force of its own. You cannot take love, but you can be shown it. You cannot give love, but you can show it to others. The old adage goes “To love another, one must first love themselves”. Love is an energy that cannot be created randomly, but one can open space within themselves and their life for love to enter and fill.
It is opening this space that is being referred to when we speak of “loving ourselves” but the general public perception has narrowed the understanding of love simply to that of an act or action, and though uses it as one, rarely admits it to even be a noun. A thing. Love is a noun though, it is a thing…one can even consider it an object, as one would consider a room an object within their perception.
So, logic follows that with these things being made clear, the next question would then be “But how does one open space in their life for love?” and of course the best question yet, “How can I accomplish this with magic?”
Firstly, let’s remember that opening a space in your life for love is entirely about you. Trying to define your ideal match and then find some person that fits it…isn’t how it actually ends up working. Very few people end up in a relationship this way…and even less actually end up in love. And let’s not forget that there are arranged marriages, and deep-seated love still forms with no control over the decision-making process of whom to be partnered with.
So for now, get rid of your thoughts on “what’s my type?” and the endless circle of pursuit they will lead you on. To open space in your life for love, focus on you. Figure out what your likes are, what your dreams are, what your goals are….what hobbies and exercises you would enjoy that are conducive to those likes, dreams, and goals.
Incorporating these things into your life, your thoughts, and your pursuits will not only take you to the right place and time to meet the love of your life but will also be the list of things that spark that initial interaction with them. From there you just have to be open to pursuing your interest in people in that environment, and shortly you will find yourself and another naturally gravitating to each other.

It’s in the Sun’s rays shining down on you. It’s at your fingertips, waiting for you to reach out and grasp it, and it’s within you.
And as a witch, it’s at your command. It all starts with intent.
The Power of Setting Intentions in Witchcraft
The intent is what determines what fruit your enchantment will bear and the flowers it will bloom. Likewise, it is how you coalesce and direct energy – the essence of a spell. In the same way, spell work is one of the pillars of Witchcraft.
To illustrate the power of intention, consider the intellectual giant and father of modern electricity, Nikola Tesla. Tesla had Merlin’s touch when interacting with energy and could essentially bend it to his will. He understood electricity intimately, to the point where he could understand the language of lightning and even hold conversations with it.
Furthermore, Tesla could see the energy everywhere and in everything.Consequently, this fueled his intent to tap into that energy and allow that font of limitless potential to power our lives and electrify the whole world.
His intention – that grand goal of illuminating the globe – led to countless inventions, provided the universal standard for utilizing power and electricity, and changed the world. In this regard, he was nonetheless successful.
This is the power of intent. From a tiny seed of vision in the mind’s eye, a forest of magic is born. As a witch, your intentions are powerful and can change the world. And your path will be continuously learning and experiencing this humbling truth.
What Does the Pentagram Symbolize?
The pentagram represents interconnection. The five cardinal points of the pentagram represent each element. Binding them together is an unbroken line. The unbroken line demonstrates that when one aspect transforms into another, the former still shares a cord with the latter.
As a witch, you will learn that everything is connected. The sun shines upon a lake, its heat warming the water until it releases its vapor into the sky. The sky fills with the water from the lake until it becomes heavy and pregnant with rain clouds. Finally, the clouds burst and release a deluge of water onto the land. This water then returns to the same lake from which it came. And thus, the cycle continues.
In this illustration, you see the connection between all elements. The lake is water. The sun’s heat represents fire. Water molecules escape into the sky to become one with the air. And then the rain falls back to the earth to merge once more with lake and land. Water. Fire. Air. Earth. And Spirit creates the cycle, maintains the balance, and is reborn from the process.
Once you encircle the pentagram, it becomes a pentacle. This circle protects the magic enclosed within from unwanted influence. As you set out to cast a spell, keeping aberrant energies out of the magic you are raising is vital. Doing this helps to ensure the effectiveness of the enchantment and make sure that nothing corrupts the magic.
The pentacle is proof of magic — a formula that explains how the elements work. It can raise the efficacy and precision of your magical work. It proffers protection when dabbling with the unknown, which is very beneficial. Use it to your advantage.
The concept of divine feminine energy may alienate some. This is especially true for those who identify as male or don’t see themselves reflected in a binary gender system. However, the aspect of the Goddess expresses itself in all genders – male and female – and all gradients in between.
We express our divine feminine with every poem or song we write. It is Goddess energy that inspires our words and melody. When we nurture and show tenderness to others, that is the aspect of the Goddess. Furthermore, it is the ability to create and give birth to new ideas and our capacity to undergo transformation.
Awen is the font that provides the bard their melody, the poet their lyric, and the soothsayer their vision. These are all essential to true magic, as true magic is musical, poetic, and visionary. Hence, the cauldron provides these attributes to your magic, amplifying their potency.
The cauldron as a tool has been employed since the Bronze Age by both witches and non-witches alike. It is only through pop culture and literature that it became a witchcraft cliché.
After all, there’s a reason we have the tradition of Spring cleaning. A stillness and stagnancy sets in during colder months making us less than inclined to the hustle and bustle. But once the newness of Spring is in an air, it’s time to cleanse our nests — both figuratively and literally.
Our besom is designated explicitly for spiritual cleansing instead of the broom you might use for everyday sweeping. Additionally, when ritually cleansing with the besom, we hold it slightly above the ground to avoid contact with the floor.
Sweeping in the anticlockwise direction does have the consequent use of banishing negative spirits in the Wiccan tradition. However, this is usually to remove maligned entities that one might sense are actively corrupting the space, not simply for ritual cleansing.
After you finish ritually cleansing your space, you can place your besom above your door, bristles pointing up to protect your home. Moreover, if it’s your first time using this particular besom, don’t forget to make a wish once you break it in – there’s a good chance it may come true.
